Ah-Ha! Moment

So I really get a kick out of finding trash on the curb and making it into something fun. I saw a single cabinet door one night in the neighborhood and thought, 'This is a nice cabinet door....I wish I had a use for it......hmmm.....can't think of anything.' So I didn't bring it home. That night after getting up with Daxton I was falling back alseep and had an ah-ha! moment. I knew what to do with the cabinet door! It was 6:00 in the morning but I pulled on my slippers and went down the street. YUP, I was THAT crazy lady, the one with her hair all in a mess digging through the trash. I am shocked the cops weren't called.
Here is what happened to the cabinet door:

TA-DA! Chalkboard-Memoboard!
Found a use for those flowers too :)

Icky Shirt to Girly Flowers

So Joe has a few shirts he wears around the house that are sooo torn up and gross. Even though they are clean they look nasty. Well, I found a way to get rid of one!!! I told him I REALLY needed it for a project. I think he was a little suprised when he saw what I did with it.

Hoot Hoot!

Owls are really popular right now so I decided to put one on a little side/mail table. My neighbor's cousin was getting rid of it when he was moving. It was originally painted white, then blue, then green (I had to peel off the layers). I forgot to snap a photo at the beginning but I got one during the process when I was stripping it.

Simple Chair

A simple treasure from the curb. Saw it late at night just sitting there and thought I would give it a try. It was very weathered but stripping off the old and staining the new gave it a clean look.

Little Stool/Chair

This was one of my first finds. Originally it had a soccer ball painted on top with different colored legs. It was chipping, dirty and beat up. I really wish I would have gotten a before picture because it turned out to be more adorable than I thought I could make it!
